1. The estimated net profit for the first quarter reached SR 279,836,000 compared to SR 225,875,498 for the same quarter of previous year, an increase of 23.89%, against a net profit of SR 251,001,067 for the fourth quarter of 2011, representing an increase of 11.49%.
2. The estimated gross profit during the first quarter was SR 294,934,622 compared to SR 241,212,737 for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 22.27%.
3. The estimated operating profit during the first quarter was SR 282,856,000 compared to SR 229,723,728 for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 23.13%.
4. The earnings per share (EPS) for the three months amounted to SR 2.00 against SR 1.61 for the same period of the previous year.
5. The reason behind the rise in net profit was due to operating the second production line in Tahama plant. Also there was no unforeseen stoppages in the main production lines and there was an optimum usage of the production facilities in the plants due to the increase in the demand in the company market areas.
