1. Southern province cement posted a net profit of SAR 180 million for the third quarter of 2011 compared to SAR 119 million for the same quarter of previous year, an increase of 51.26%. And showing a decrease of 24.69% against the posted net profit of SAR 239 million during the previous second quarter of the year 2011.
2. The gross profit during the third quarter is SAR 197 million compared to SAR 132 million for the corresponding period last year, an increase of 49.24%.
3. The operating profit during the third quarter is SAR 185 million compared to SAR 124 million for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 49.19%.
4.The net profit for the nine months is SAR 645 million compared to SAR 494 million for the same period of previous year, an increase of 30.57%
5. The earnings per share (EPS) for the nine months amounted to SAR 4.61 against SAR 3.52 for the same period of the previous year.
6. The gross profit during the nine months is SAR 690 million compared to SAR 530 million for the corresponding period last year, an increase of 30.19%.
7. The operating profit during the nine months is SAR 654 million compared to SAR 501 million for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 30.54%.
8. The reason for the rise in net profit in the third quarter and the nine months period over the same period last year was due to the increase in the local sales because of the high demand in the local market of the company. The decrease in the net profit between the third quarter and the second quarter was due to the decrease in the sales during the month of the holly Ramadan
