1. The net profit for the first quarter reached SR 284,329,530 compared to SR 225,875,498 for the same quarter of previous year, an increase of 25.88%, against a net profit of SR 251,001,067 for the fourth quarter of 2011, representing an increase of 13.28%.
2. The gross profit during the first quarter was SR 300,739,378 compared to SR 241,212,737 for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 24.68%.
3. The operating profit during the first quarter was SR 288,075,672 compared to SR 229,723,728 for the corresponding quarter last year, an increase of 25.40%.
4. The earnings per share (EPS) for the three months amounted to SR 2.03 against SR 1.62 for the same period of the previous year.
5. The reason behind the rise in the net profit during the first quarter of 2012 compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year and the fourth quarter of 2011 was due to operating the second production line in Tahama plant and to the increase in the demand in the company market areas.
