Southern Province Cement Company announces starting the commercial production of the second line in Tahama plant

Further to its announcement dated 11/2/2012, Southern Province Cement Company announces starting the commercial production of the second line in Tahama plant on 1/3/2012. The production has reached 5,000 tons/day by now, which matches the nominal capacity as per the contract.

With this, the production of Tahama plant has increased to reach 10,000 tons/ day. This is highly expected to help declining the conjuncture created by the high demand on cement in the areas around the factory; conditionally Saudi Aramco will allocate the fuel quantities enough to operate this second line.

By adding this quantity, the actual company’s total production capacity for the three plants will reach 23,000 tons of clinker/day, this equals 24,000 tons of cement/ day.
