Southern Province Cement Company today received a delegation from the Cement Future Initiative affiliated with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) to discuss opportunities for cooperation in developing the cement industry, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing innovation and sustainability in the industrial sector.
The visit included discussions on a number of topics related to the future of the cement industry, modern technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable solutions. It also reviewed opportunities for research and applied collaboration between the two parties, contributing to supporting the competitiveness of the industrial sector and developing advanced technical solutions.
The company affirmed that the visit comes as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation with universities and specialized research initiatives, and to benefit from advanced expertise and technologies in developing industrial operations and improving operational efficiency, in support of sustainability and innovation pathways and in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
It also noted that integration between the industrial sector and academic and research entities is an important factor in developing the cement industry and adopting future solutions that contribute to improving operational performance and enhancing industrial sustainability.
